BMW M3 Convertible

Say what you want about coupés and that they have more torsional rigidity etc than a cabriolet, but driving with the sunroof down on a nice summer day and feeling the wine noise and hearing the engine extra clearly takes a lot to beat. And the BMW M3 cabriolet is no exception. The new M3 cab is now equipped with a metal roof, which makes it incredibly quiet with the roof up than a traditional fabric convertible top. With a simple push of a button, the roof is lowered in just about 20 seconds. Of course, the M3 looks better with the roof down than up, but the shapes have still been preserved in a good way and not like many cabs with a fabric convertible top that look really boring with the fabric roof up

The shapes beyond the roof are not significantly different from the regular M3. Our ex was white with black leather interior, nice and sober if you keep it clean that is. M3 design signals power in a very tasteful way and from the driver's seat you can see the bulge on the hood that was necessary to kneel down the 4 liter V8 of 420 horses. In other words, the bun is a sign of too much power.

When you start the car, however, you are not particularly excited, the car is very unassuming in tone and it is only when you rev the engine a little that the high-revving V8 starts to make itself heard. I roll away and have decided to have lunch with a friend in Vaxholm. The road out there is perfect with fun and curvy sections, just what an M3 likes best. The sun is warming and it's a perfect day to drive a cab. With the windows and wind protection for the neck up, it is possible to drive really fast without being blown away.

First model of the M3 E93 Was only equipped with a standard manual gearbox. But with the cabriole came the new 7-speed so-called double clutch box, DCG. The box is really fast but much nicer than the old SMG box that was in the old M3 which more or less slammed into the gears if you put it in the hardest position. We can assume that this is much more gentle on the box as a result of less need for service. 

The M3 is a real road machine and it thrives best on winding roads. And driving with the roof down is only beneficial. An M3 cab is a car that will last a long time and if it is looked after well can last a long time. Long live German quality!
