Bentley Bentayga

If you feel that a Volvo XC90 or Range Rover doesn't bang as loud as you'd like, perhaps a Bentley Bentayga is the car for you.

The model was introduced in 2012 as EXP 9 F but it was considered too controversial so it was further developed and presented in 2015 under the name Bentayga. The name is inspired by the world's largest contiguous coniferous forest in Siberia and is a combination of Bentley and a changed spelling of the word "taiga". They were also inspired by the wooded Roque Bentayga on the island of Gran Canaria.

When Bentley builds cars, they don't do things by halves. This is also the case with the new SUV Bentayga. A six-liter W12 engine with twin turbochargers that delivers a whopping 608 horsepower and 900 Newtons of torque. This means that the Bentaygan crosses the 100 mark on the dashboard after just 4.1 seconds and also climbs over 300 kilometers per hour, making it among the fastest SUVs in the world. If you want to display such incredibly powerful performance figures, you must also be able to show that you are environmentally conscious. Therefore, the Bentaygan has cylinder deactivation, which means that you do not use all the cylinders in the engine. A freewheeling function is also available, which means that the car disconnects the gear box and the engine when you let off the gas and lets the car roll freely without consuming any fuel. 

But of course it's not just about performance in a Bentley. It is obviously about luxury and comfort as much. Whoever buys a Bentayga will of course not be disappointed on these points. When you get into the Bentaygan and close the door, it's quiet, so quiet you can hear your heart beating. If you close your eyes and let the smell of the leather chairs fill your senses, a calmness comes to mind. Nothing has been left to chance and the material choices and quality are of absolute top class. 

To mark the area of use for a Bentayga, Bentley in collaboration with Mulliner has produced a number of special bags for picnics. This includes, among other things, crystal glasses and a refrigerator for the champagne. You can also get custom-made storage systems for hunting and fishing and surfing. An example of a customer who took this seriously is HRH Queen Elizabeth II. She had the first copy reserved for hunting expeditions.
